Google Map of Viper Owners

I posted a google map on the National Board that is editable by anyone with the link. The discussion was where to have the next VOI and some were talking about concentrations of Viper Owners... SO I created this map.

go to the map.

click edit

locate the box in the upper left hand corner and grab a pin

drop near your location, its not necessary to be exact or add your screen name

once you have dropped your pin on the map, you can change the color of your pin!

click on your pin, a box will appear, then click the blue pin inside the box then choose your color.

To get the "edit" button you have to be logged into Google. If you don't have a google account let me know and I'll drop the pin for ya...

Here's a little better instruction to drop a pin

Go to the map, log into Google then click on your area, click "edit" then right click on your area a box will pop up to place a pin. You can then type in a name or screen name or leave it blank. click again on the place marker to change the color of your pin.

I'm getting a few questions on how to do this. I don't mind helping drop a pin... just let me know where and what color.

Very cool Kala, SoCal can have it's own mini VOI if all the members and owners showed up.

I'm loading in so cal members this morning.. So if anyone wants to change the pin color just log into google maps and pick your city, chances are I already have a pin placed for you.

All 173 So Cal pins are in place. Once I flatten out the map it should be cool to see where everyone is. right now there are 2 pages and the pins on one page don't include the pins on the next page...

my goofy google map has gotten 1,100 views in less than a week! HAHAHA someone in NorCal put themselves in as a martini glass ^8

Hey Albert!

Glad you like the map... we've got 1600 page views and more pins being dropped everyday. I just found we can include our own color or style of pin by simply using a link!

I think CAAP should be one of the Viper Logos... or maybe just the viper txt... That spans every generation.

Once we are done and the map isn't getting any more pins, I have to figure out KML, for google earth to flatten it out on pne page... Do you know KML?

Still gotta get back with you on that site... Life has been interesting lately...  <B
