I was searching the archives and came across this summary from Viper Days 1999 at WSIR.
Really cool to see names of our members mentioned and the great times they posted.
Erik Messley set a Viper lap record of 1:23.62
Skip Thomas ran a 1:33.35 and it wasn't even his car.
Chris Pennington ran a 1:29.62 as an amateur
Johnny Yuma ran a 1:33.6
Jim Becker ran a 1:37.14
Doug Dye ran a 1:40.58
Daryl McClendon ran a 1:54.06 as a rookie

Yep, those were fun times.  Doug Dye was one of my mentors when I first started at WS in 2002.  Where are the archives?  I think my best time on my first trip to Viper Days at WS was 1:46.05

Hey Lance, great find.

Can you imagine coming down the front straight into turn 1 at 170 MPH?

That's good stuff Lance, maybe one day I'll be able to keep up with the old Bro!

Maybe Spring Mountain in October will be my chance - fingers and toes are crossed! =15

It'll be fun to see Chris driving his new ACR!

He's going to love it.

I wonder what car Eric Messley was driving?

96 GTS I believe. He was/is a great driver.

Yeah,

I ran with him at Fontana a couple of times and had a bunch of fun.
