The Western Zone Rendezvous will be held in Fontana California at the Auto Club Speedway on May 7, 2011. VCA members are invited and encouraged to come participate in this VCA sponsored “mini VOI”. We have a great day of activities planned and the focus will be on learning car control. Details and sign up can be found here: Western Zone Rendezvous The deadline is fast approaching and in the past, this event has sold out so don’t miss out. One of the neat components of the WZR is that it is also an Auto-x qualifier where our fastest member gets to go to Detroit and compete with fellow VCA members against the SRT engineers at the Chelsea Proving Grounds.

Another deadline which is fast approaching is that for the the latest VCA Raffle car. If you have not already purchased your tickets, you need to do this by April 22! You can order tickets here: 2010 Final Edition Raffle car Southern California had had 2 of it’s members win the raffle car…..who is gonna be next?

The So Cal Club has enjoyed some great weather for many of the recent events. In March we had 33 cars on our run to Borrego Springs

Narra/Viper Days was held at the brand new Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Any track weekend with the guys is a good weekend and this one was no exception. We had a great group of So Cal members out at the track and everyone did great. Randy Begin, Mike Malone and David Andrews swept their class with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finish. Scott Pennington captured 3rd in his class TT1 Great job guys! Narra / Viper Days
