Title: 2006 SRT10 remote door opening issue
Post by: hemotox on June 17, 2014, 11:23:34 PM
I have a friend in the Switss Viper Club. who posted this question on the Swiss Viper Facebook page.  If anyone has an answer to this question, please post here.

Hi all

I have a question and hope that someone can help me with it. I have an 2006 SRT-10 roadster. I have a strange phenomenon when I want to open the car with the remote. 90% of the time, if the car is locked/armed longer than about 1h, I can't open it with the remote.

As soon as I touch a door handle (doesn't matter if it's the driver door or the co-driver) and after that press the unlock button on the remote, then the cars opens up. It looks like it's 'sleeping' and then doesn't accept the remote... as soon as I press one handle it feels like it 'wakes up' and then accepts the remote :-(...

someone any idea ? would appreciate any help/suggestion

Start by changing the battery in the Key Fob remote. Then disconnect the Battery in the Viper and re connect. If that doesn't work call Dan Cragin.  ;D
