Bonneville Salt Flats "Speed Week" 5-Day Road TripHere's your chance to check-off a fun event on your bucket list. Be part of a super fun 5-day road trip that culminates by spending a day during Speed Week at the venerable Bonneville Salt Flats.
➢ Day 1: Friday, Aug. 5: Los Angeles to Las Vegas, stay night at South Point Hotel (280 miles 4 hrs 45 min)
➢ Day 2: Saturday, Aug. 6: Las Vegas to Ely, NV, stay 1 st night at Ramada (240 miles 4 hrs)
➢ Day 3: Sunday, Aug. 7: Ely, NV, to Salt Flats (135 miles 2 hrs) ▪ Depart Ely early to arrive at Bonneville Salt Flats before sunrise ▪ Salt Flats to Ely, stay 2 nd night at Ramada (135 miles 2 hrs)
➢ Day 4: Monday, Aug. 8: Ely to Las Vegas, stay night (240 miles 4 hrs)
➢ Day 5: Tuesday, Aug. 9: Las Vegas to Los Angeles (280 miles 4 hrs 45 min)
Total miles ~ 1350
This road trip includes two nights at luxurious hotels in Las Vegas and two nights in the city of Ely, which functions as our staging point for venturing to the salt flats very early on Sunday, Aug. 7. This is to arrive before sunrise for some amazing photo ops with our Vipers.
