We received so many positive comments on last year’s location that, by popular demand, we booked the Historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside for our 2015 Holiday Party! http://www.missioninn.com
From its modest beginnings as a two-story adobe guest house in 1876, to its current position as an icon of breathtaking architecture, timeless beauty and old world charm, The Mission Inn is a place where history, grandeur and inspiration is found around every corner. This national historic landmark evokes the spirit of the holiday season by transforming the entire city block into a winter wonderland with their Festival of Lights, a spectacular collection of nearly 4 million lights and 400 animated figures… one of the largest winter attractions in Southern California! This is truly a one-of-a-kind destination and an event you won’t want to miss!
Our room block contract allows us to book only one night (normally it’s a two night minimum) although the following rates are good for those of you who want to enjoy both Friday and Saturday nights:
• Deluxe Room $189
• Raincross Room $209
• Glenwood Room $229
• Mission Room $269
• Jr. Suite $329
Reservations must be made prior to Wednesday November 18, 2015 to get these discounted rates. After that date, prices will increase to the Inn’s prevailing rates (currently a Deluxe room is priced at $299.00 per night with a two night minimum stay.)
Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-843-7755.
Reference Southern California Viper Club Holiday Room Block.
The Inn prefers that guests call them directly to make their reservations in lieu of making them online. However, if you prefer making them online, go to the Inn’s main page, select RESERVATIONS at the top then select the GROUPS option on the top of the next page. Enter our group code VIPER121815 then click UPDATE before continuing the process. Please note that only the Deluxe King Room is displayed on the website. If you want an upgraded room type, you must call the Inn directly to check availability.
Rooms sell out fast during this time of year so make your reservations NOW! Don’t wait and possibly miss out on staying at this unique venue… remember, it’s better to be safe than sorry!

SoCal Viper Club Car Control Clinic ~ Saturday October 24, 2015
The So Cal Viper Club will be returning back to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana California to utilize their huge parking lot to stage our Member’s only Car Control Clinic sponsored by Southern California Viper Club and Specialty Performance Team This has always been a very popular event for new members as well as long time members. It is the ideal place to take your Viper out and push it to the limit to get a full understanding of what happens when you cross the threshold of tire traction and become a passenger trying to gain control of the Viper. Facebook Page HERE
Once again a huge Thanks to Randy Tribolet for getting us set up again with the Team manager of Megan Racing. Naoki Kobayashi. They will be bringing out 3 of their instructors to help us learn the basics of Car Control through the lessons of Drifting.
” I know some folks are a little reluctant to burn up their street tires and for $50 they will let you take out their drift car and smoke em all you want. I spoke to Naoki today and he said that they would try to bring two rental cars this time. Also, their cars are set up for the drifting and a bit easier to control in a drift. It’s a great way to get a feel for it. Last year, many of us rented the car first to get the feel and then took our vipers out afterward. I think that the best way to do it. They bring a truck load of tires and expect to go through some”
Whether your goal is to learn how to full on drift your Viper or simply get the “feel” of having the back end start to slide out and what to do to catch it, this is the ideal opportunity to come out and learn.
This year we will be focusing on Auto-x and this year it will likely have a few surprises in the course setup.
