AROUND THE ROVAL VIDEO

Hey guys, you've got to check this video out.  Several laps in the ACR around Auto Club Speedway's Roval in January 2010...  The HD version is really clear if your computer's set up for it.  The other version is a bit lower res.

The first couple laps I take it easy, warming up the tires so you can see the track.

Then, I see a couple of cars, which I of course must chase.

I chase the red Evo later in the session until he blows up in front of me, spewing water, etc. onto my windshield.

Turn the sound up as it's pretty cool.

I'll be running there again with NASA this Saturday, March 13.  Made a few more suspension changes that I want to try out before Buttonwillow in April.  Come out and watch if you can.

Ross Murray will be racing (in a Mustang I think) along with Manny Coats (in a Honda) and a few other Viper guys.  Terry Rossi will be coaching.

I have stuff stacked up for the afternoon, but the morning is good for me.
Leave the OC around 8:00, watch Dan pass a bunch of cars and chase down others till they break  , grab an early lunch and hike it home.

Lance - I'm a 50 - 50 chance of going out Sat morning (morning best for me too).  I'm already out this way, so I'd just meet you at the track.  I'd enjoy watching Dan chase them down and make a few passes!

Hey Guys,

Just got the track schedule from NASA for Saturday.

The group I'm running in is HPDE 3.  I know, I know, I should be in HPDE 4 but they won't let me in as they say I have not run with them long enough!  ARGH!  I probably won't get a clean lap in and will likely be held up every lap.

On the positive side, I can do a bit of test and tune on the new suspension set up and some "line" work on the track.  It's fun to catch smaller imports on the infield portion of the track and I noticed several areas in the video where I could improve my line.  We all know how Viper's do on the straights - they rock!

Run groups are 9:20 AM, 11:05 AM, 1:35 PM and 3:50 PM.  They are 20 minute sessions.

There were a ton of cars out at ACS and lot's of really nice street and race cars.

We watched Dan in the 2 morning sessions.  It is fun to watch how fast he can close in on and pass cars on the front straightway.
